May
5 2012. I woke up at 4 in the morning to prepare my clothes and other stuffs
for the overnight trip. We took a taxi at around 5AM. We waited for the
"company bus" at this chinese fast-food restaurant near the entrance
to "SCTEX". It was a long
4-hour drive to San Antonio, Zambales. We took a few stops to empty out their
bladders because a lot of people had drank lots and lots of water, which was so
unecessary to do for this long trip in the first place :P. We had little
trouble in entering the resort because of how big the bus is. When we arrived,
we were already directed to our rooms. As a fat boy/man, I am highly sensitive
to temperatures, especially to the heat. So, I was f*cking relieved to know
that there was AC inside HELL YEAH. As soon as I went outside, the view of the
beach was so breathaking, my jaw literally dropped to the floor. Okay that was
too exaggerated but you know what I'm talking about (pictures below). It's one
of the most beautiful beaches that I have ever seen, seriously (I haven't been
to boracay or palawan, so technically this was the closest I could get to
witnessing an awesome view of a beach). The sun was really on the middle of the
viewpoint of the sea so it adds up to the wonderful scenery.
To
be honest, I don't really like to swim, nor to be surrounded by large masses of
water. I didn't even attempt to go near the shore, so yes I am really that
scared. I stayed in my room whilst typing this just to kill a lot of time.
Dinner was scrumptous. The ambience of the restaurant/bar looks
"foreign". May I add that the owner is Australian, hence the
aussie-like pictures, drinks, and even the rules for playing Billiard (aussie
rules for billiard ftw!!). There were also a lot of foreign guests that checked
in so I felt like a tourist, which was fulfilling enough (please excuse the
weird me). Sunday morning, I consumed a HUGE Burger with chips. Satisfying,
well I have to be because it costs 220 pesos (I eat like a pig, so there's
nothing to be surprised about). I took some shots of the beach before leaving
the place. We left at 12 noon, dropped off at 4pm, then went home to my lazy
ass life at 4:30-45.
Overall,
I really love the place. I'm definitely going back there. Everything was cooler
than what I had expected. 9/10.
