Imagine you finding out that your most adored band is coming to your city/country. You jump repeatedly like the crazy ass you are, you scream as loud as the neighbors can hear, and then you faint.. well not really. But in summary, you freak the hell out of yourself. You obviously saved up for it months or years ago just for "emergency" purposes, and now you're in a line waiting to buy those precious tickets that you've starved or sacrificed for. Then, you finally get the tickets, and wait for the date of probably one of the most important experiences in your life. After a bit of waiting, you finally get to watch the concert. You'll feel ecstatic to see them through your own eyes. Then the fulfillment of watching them has finally got to yourself. You feel like your life has a wonderful purpose, and that you are achieving that purpose, even though you had to face a lot of difficulties in reaching it. After the concert has finished, you go back to your home, and sleep, cause no one doesn't get tired after watching a concert, believe me. You wake up @ 6 in the morning. You're pretty much worn out from all the screaming and singing, then suddenly you felt like there's something missing in your life. It's a feeling of worthlessness, and uncomfortable. You feel depressed about something.
what is "Post-concert depression"?
(n); The feeling of depression after going to a really good concert. Usually involves depression over the fact that your lives purpose is now fulfilled after seeing your favorite band. Also can involve depression over the fact that you might not see that band for a long time. - Urban DictionaryI'm sure a lot of people who went to concerts had experienced this, especially to those "hardcore" fangirls and fanboys, if you know what I'm talking about. I for one am a fanboy so I've had it a lot of times. My first time was last 2010, when the K-Pop girl group '4Minute' came to the Philippines to do some mall shows. Then I also watched U-Kiss, and One Way's mall shows. The most important event of my K-Pop life was when I watched a 'Super Show' concert. It was a hell of a time, and I was pretty much ecstatic. I got post-concert depression after that. I kept reminiscing all of the great things that had happened when I was there. I became very sad and depressed cause I thought to myself that I may never see them again after that. It's like a feeling of going back to your normal 'old' life, a feeling of worthlessness after fulfilling one of your life-long dreams. It's very hard to cope with, especially of you're still feeling it TODAY.
CURE
Just be busy all the time. But for hardcore fangirls/boys, there is no cure. If you're really into the artist you like, you'll feel sad everyday. The last concert I watched was last 2011. I'm still sad to know that I won't meet them for a very long time. IT'S HARD! With the new fandom that I'm in, I sure would have a big problem after I see them live in concert. But for now,I just want to see them. PLEASE? :(
